Top 50

I have 13 of the top 50 players in my league

I figured we'll discuss who's start is for real and who's is not.

3) Orlando Hudson

8) Cano

10) A. Gonz

12) Billingsley

13) Longoria

19) Vernon Wells

23) Adam Jones

25) Nick Swisher

36) Broxton

39) Inge

47) Lincecum

48) Jason Kubel

50) Adam Dunn

I think Cano's start is for real, he looks like a different player at the plate this year.  A Gonz, and Longoria.   Lincecum, and Billingsley will probably end up top 50.

I'm not confident in any one else to be top 50 by the end of the year.

Your thoughts?

I'd say . . .

. . . you’re in 1st with a 20 point lead. I’d also say these guys will be in top 50 at year’s end – Cano, Gonzalez, Billingsley, Longoria, Broxton, and Lincecum. Wells could be close if he stays healthy since he’s done it before. I still love O-Dog for what it took to get him. I just don’t see him near the top 50. Adam Dunn could be close as well, 40 hr with 100 rbi would get him close.

Me

I think Robinson Cano will stay there. Assuming RC in the new Yankee Stadium remains a short porch, he’ll crack 20 HRs. 100 RBI and an .300 AVG is Top 50.

Kubel may not stay in the Top 50, but I think he will remain on the fringes of it. This is his Age 27 season, and he benefits from having Mauer and Morneau hitting in front of him.

No way Wells, Swisher and Hudson stay there.
