Making Sausage: Dexter Fowler Or Nyjer Morgan
I was asked a couple months ago how I came-up with material to post every day all year long. While saying it was as simple as glancing at a roster or boxscore doesn't quite give the flavor to how my mind works.
Here are the three threads that came together for this days' poll question. The first thread was plucked from a trade I made last week in an NL-Only 4x4 league. I dealt Pitsburgh Pirates LF Nyjer Morgan for Los Angeles Dodgers RHP James MacDonald and Cincinnati Reds SS Alex Gonzalez.
As with many trades, I second-guessed the decision. Morgan was doing well and far above what I expected. MacDonald has not been good, but he offered some upside to keep on the bench. Gonzalez appears OK following knee surgery and offered bench strength in the middle infield.
The next thread came from the comments on my Sunday column on 1st week flashes. In it, Morgan was again noted for his excellent start to the 2009 campaign.
With two pieces of information focusing some of my attention on Morgan, yesterday's ESPN's Fantasy Focus Baseball podcast covered Colorado Rockies' CF Dexter Fowlers' 5 SB effort and played the Name Game with Morgan and Fowler.
This was the final thread needed to have a post burst from my mind into the ethernet. I'll ask the same question.

FWIW
I thought the decision was as easy as the poll results indicate.

I think you were wrong and I suspect the numbers will bear them selves out over the season.
