Roto Roundup From Sunday
Easter Sunday was a day for pitching gems. Here are some highlights from Sunday's MLB action:
Johan Santana-Santana struck out 13 Marlins in 7 innings of work on Sunday, but he took the lsoss after Daniel Murphy's misplayed flyball led to two runs, and that's all they needed behind Josh Johnson who also pitched a gem. Johnson threw a complete game, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 7.
Aaron Harang-Harang gave up only 3 hits and struck out 9 in a complete game win vs. the Pirates. Will we see the 2007 Harang or the 2008 Harang in 2009?
Evan Longoria-he went 3-5 with 2 RBI and his league leading 5th HR in the Rays 11-3 drubbing of the Orioles. Can he win a HR title?
Dexter Fowler-Fowler went 2-5 with his 2nd HR of the season in the Rockies 7-5 loss to the Phillies. Fowler may push OFer Seth Smith to the bench for good if he continues to hit like this.
Chase Utley-Utley went 2-3 with 3 runs scored, 2 RBI, his first HR of the season, and he tossed in another SB to boot. Eric made a good call retaining him in UBA this year. This guy is money.
Erik Bedard-Bedard shut out the A's for 8 1/3 innings, giving up only 3 hits, 1 BB, while striking out 7. He will be a highly sought after SP come the trade deadline.
Tim Lincecum-Lincecum struggled for the 2nd straight start, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits and 3 BBs while striking out 5 in 5 1/3 innings. Last year's Cy Young award winner is disappointing many fantasy/roto owners so far this year.
Kyle Lohse-Lohse thre a complete game shutout against division rival Astros. He held the Astros to 3 hits and struck 4, while earning his 2nd win of the season. And I thought I made a good deal getting a 2nd round pick for him in UBA.

Lincecum
After seeing C.C. Sabthai get healthy against the Royals, Lincecum’s ability to do so against the NL equivalent is disappointing and that may be under-stating it. At least, he isn’t Brandon Webb.
