Rick (Ny): Assuming the Mets complete this Oliver Perez deal (rumors of 3/36 with an option), are they finished for the winter?

Buster Olney: (2:17 PM ET ) Rick: I think they'll bottom-feed, as so many other teams are doing... A $600,000 veteran here, a $600,000 veteran there. But what I've been told is that Perez's deal would basically eat up almost all of the flexibility they have left, unless they get a new mandate from ownership.
