Wow. I guess Albert Pujols is the king of all things fantasy and is the no-brainer number 1 pick in all mixed and NL only leagues. Well, I don't like to listen to all the experts, and believe me I am no expert, but I think I have done fairly well going against the grain at times, so I will continue to do so going forward.

With that said, I will select Alex Rodriguez with the 4th pick in the early mixed league mock draft here at Fake Teams. I think ARod got the monkey off his back in the 2009 playoffs and World Series and will have another monster season hitting in Coors Field East-the New Yankee Stadium. With a full season of ABs, playing 3B and DHing, ARod should eclipse 40 A-Bombs again in 2010.

In 444 ABs in 2009, ARod went 30-100-14-.286 after hip surgery in the offseason. Should he be healthy going in to 2010, ARod could go 40-120-20-.300, and that might be conservative.

Heck, not only does he have the monkey off his back and a World Series ring, he has Kate Hudson now....certainly an upgrade from his previous two relationships. He doesn't have a worry in the world, and that's the reason why he could have another monster season in 2010.
