Fantasy Baseball: Early Mock Draft- Round 1, pick 3.
For the third pick, I'm going with Albert Pujols. FINALLY!
My reasoning...He's awesome.
(Sorry, I mailed that one in. Ray, if you'd have picked him, you could have too. There's just not much for me to say that people didn't know by now. )

It’s rankings for standard mixed leagues. 10 or 12 teams.
Hanley can be justified as the first pick due to position scarcity. Just read the first pick.
take a look
at the OF in 2010 and tell me there is no scarcity. Lots of guys who can hit 30+ HRs with avg in the 260’s for the most par except for Lind, Braun, Kubel and Zobrist, but even then you don’t get the 30+ SBs that you do with Kemp-which sets him apart from them.

Still trying...
…to convince yourself that wasn’t a terrible pick, eh? LOL at outfield scarcity. Stop comparing Kemp to mid-tier outfielders and compare him to the guy you should’ve taken, Albert Pujols. Objectively doing that makes it 100% clear that Kemp was just a flat-out BAD pick.
Again, you’re not going to be dissuaded of that even when Pujols outperforms Kemp in 2010. You desperately need a Pujols injury because that’s the only way this turns out well for you.

where should Kemp be do drafted? I am sure you will run to ESPN to see where they rank him…..feel free. They still have David Wright and Jose Reyes in the top 10….which is absolutely crazy!!!!
tell me where a 30-100-30-.300 should be selected in a mixed league draft. I am sure if his name was Hanley Ramirez it would be number 1.

wow
defensive much? now you’re just being ridiculous. you JUST posted on my site where you read my top 12 positional rankings as well as my top 12 overall. I listed Kemp 1st in OF, 4th overall. But again, you KNEW that.
Hanley, as you read, is not #1. Pujols, as I’ve said 900 times, is the definitive #1. It’s not up for debate when you look at the numbers. If Pujols had gone #1 in your little mock and you had taken Kemp, I wouldn’t really see an issue. But letting the best player pass to try and be first on the bandwagon of the next best thing is what loses people leagues every year. I relish the opportunity to have those guys in my league.
I’m done saying the SAME thing. I’ve deconstructed the bad pick ad nauseum in the Kemp thread. You’re stuck on a hypothetical line for Kemp and you’re convinced he’s the best pick regardless of how wrong you’re proven. I got it. I play to win even if I have to by-pass favorites like Kemp in the process. Are we clear?
actually
I posted my comment before reading your site. You have a nice site there, but I did question a few of your rankings. Guess you can dish it out but can’t take it. Two can play your game. Guess your the defensive one.
I’m done giving my reasoning….we can agree to disagree.

albert as number 3?
this may be the start of his decline considering the guy is probably 34 or 35 years old lol
Machines don’t decline. At least not in their 30s. :-)

Bahahah
Someone actually would take MATT KEMP with the second pick? Bahahahahahhhahhaahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahaaahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
the more
people bash the pick, the more I like it. Kemp batting in the middle of the LA lineup in 2010 means more RBI opps.
