MLB Rumors: Manny Ramirez To The Yankees??
I was listening to XM Radio's MLB Live show on Tuesday evening hosted by Joe Castellano, and a caller asked if it's possible that the Yankees sign Manny Ramirez. Castellano answered yes. His reason made alot of sense.
His reason is who do the Yankees have in the outfield should they trade BOTH Xavier Nady and Nick Swisher? They have the outfield they had last year-Damon, Matsui and Cabrera.
Why not sign Manny, if you can deal those two away and grab some bullpen help or some prospects?
In other Manny news, Scott Boras has been quoted in the press and ESPN that he is talking to multiple teams about Manny, and that he should be signed by spring training. Hey, thanks Scott....appreciate that info.
Does anyone believe that Boras has more than the Dodgers interested in Manny? We will find out by spring training.....or Opening Day!!

• Manny’s World: As long as we’re on the subject of Manny, Boras has described the action on his highest-profile client as “heating up” this week. But with whom, exactly?
A source familiar with the Mets’ thinking says a Manny signing is “not going to happen.” The Yankees have made it clear they’re totally out of Manny’s world. A baseball man familiar with the Angels’ plans reports their decision to pass on Manny is still “etched in stone.” The Giants continue to say they’re only interested under “certain conditions” — meaning a very short-term deal. And the Dodgers are no closer to signing this guy than they were when they made their two-year, $45 million offer — on Election Day.
So where’s the heat? Just asking.
