MLB Rumors: Ben Sheets to the Yankees??

I was listening to Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton's show a few mintues ago, and he mentioned the Yankees' brass are meeting to discuss changing course on Andy Pettite and turning their attention to Ben Sheets.

He didn't elaborate, but mentioned the Yankees would take the one year $10mm offer to Pettite and offer it to Sheets.

He also talked again about why the Mets aren't in on Manny Ramirez. Something tells me Omar Minaya may be saving LF for OF prospect Fernando Martinez.

my 1st day of listening to XM

my thoughts on the MLB channel are,not horrendous but pretty much the whole day was on pettitte and varitek with some manny sprinkled in….But the Hosts of really do kiss butt to the callers though,they are SUPER POLITE it seems to promote the station,after every caller all they say is " thank you for calling,please call back,i hope you will be a regular for now on!" they took nobody to task,especially the fool who thought pettitte was worth 16 million a year(most were women who thought that)!!

some of his other rumors of the day: scutaro/kelly downs for cust,Adam Laroche for jonathan sanchez/another player,Nady for homer bailey.He did have have on the manager of the M’s and he said Morrow is definitly a starting pitcher and wont close,pretty much the only usefull thing i heard of 5 hours of listening,Hair Nation was much more interesting!
