Eric (Matawan, New Jersey: Who's your #1 pick this year? Pujols?

Brendan Roberts: Definitely Hanley. Still have my doubts about Pujols, and I'm an STL guy. I think there's a bit of a cover-up that's happening here with that elbow. Don't want to alarm folks, though.

more on Pujols-this could get interesting

Pujols Fans: Can you elaborate?

Brendan Roberts: Sorry, I’d rather not until I have more facts. But suffice to say I think his elbow is still a problem going forward, although he can probably continue to play through it. Just don’t want that (elbow injury) to leave my mind just yet.

#1

I think Pujols is a great player. He is not the #1 overall fantasy baseball pick. That is Hanley Ramirez. I’d take ARod 2nd.

Maybe the rumors of The Company Formerly Known As Citi Field playing cavernously would keep me away from David Wright at #3.

what about Reyes?

do the Mets play more small ball in ‘09? they aren’t built to do so. Reyes could run more if it is a bigger pitchers park than Shea.

Elbow

I don’t think Pujols needs elbows. He is that good.

No, seriously I really hope he is his full self this year.
