Trade help
Should I trade Colston for Witten straight up? Its obvious that witten is the better option because he is actually playing right now and colston is not...but second half of the season and playoff time i might want to have colston in there. When Colston comes back (week 7?) will he be himself or will the finger still give him problems? Should i do this trade?
My team right now is
QB-Peyton, WR- Reggie Wayne, WR- Steve Smith (CAR), WR- Colston, WR- Antonio Bryant, WR-Robert Meachem, RB-Mcgahee, RB-Slaton, and TE-donald Lee

Quick answer
Yes. Witten looks like he will remain the top TE in football. He is Romo’s woobie. However, you are dead on being concerned about the longer-term ramifications.
Looking at your team, you should be fine at WR w/o Colston while Witten reps a big upgrade over Lee. Have you considered trying to upgrade at RB rather than TE? McGahee and Slaton is not exactly a top flight RB combo.
How deep is your league?

A PPR helps with the RB situation and makes Witten more attractive as he is likely to catch the same number of passes as Colston would with the expection you’d get to play Witten for a few more weeks while Colston recovers.
Slaton does catch passes so his value bumps towards that of Chris johnson in TN. If Slaton gets to rush for TDs, he will likely be worth the same or slightly mmore.
