Is Ryan Ludwick a keeper

PrintI recently completed the Prince for Peavey and Ludwick trade and now I’m trying to pull Brandon Phillips off of the 2nd place team and help him make a run at it. I’m looking ahead to next year and I feel pretty good about my pitching core in my 5x5 mixed roto league.
Brandon Webb
Jake Peavey
Roy Halladay
Clayton Kershaw
Then I get to looking at my batters and my top 4 batters turn out like this:
Ryan Ludwick
Jose Reyes
Jason Bay
Mark Teixeira
Now, I have options in this mix, Dustin Pedroia, Corey Hart, Garrett Atkins and Torii Hunter are all in the top 64 on the season with Brian McCann sitting at 93 (after the recent injury) and valuable at the position.
Jason Bay, Jose Reyes and Mark Teixera have all proven their worth as keepers so I can pretty much put them in my lineup already for next year, but Ryan Ludwick? Is his age a concern? How about that hip injury?
What do you guys think? Is this a gamble?

I’d go with Cory Hart who is younger and doesn’t have a past that makes his current season scream, “Fluke!” He also steals bases, and I’m a sucker for a five-category hitter.
McCann is also a consideration given the crap that resides behind the plate in fantasy baseball. I might consider him over Bay.
The pitchers are no-brainers and should allow you to take some chances on the rest of your roster next year.
Update!
So I was able to get Brandon Phillips and Chone Figgins for Atkins, McCann and Pedroia. Now I’m looking at keeping:
Peavey/Halladay/Webb/Kershaw
Reyes/Tex/Phillips/ and Hart, Ludwick or Bay
My rebuilding season looks like it went OK.
Coming in to the season my keepers were
Reyes/Beltran/Prince/Byrnes/Rios
Webb/Hughes/Beckett
Oh
I also forgot to mention that this trade should drop me enough in the standings to get a top 2 pick without a tank job.
