Do You Agree: Ricky Williams Will Be A Non-Factor
Miami Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown left last night's exhibition game with an injured thumb. While it is not his reconstructed knee, it still makes RB Ricky Williams look better as a real and fantasy option. On Friday, Jeremy Green of ESPN.com said this about Ricky Williams:
Justin (Boca): What kind of impact do you think Ricky Williams will have this year?Jeremy Green: Not much. I know they have been raving about him, but I am not a big believer in him. He is fairly injury prone, I do not think he likes football, and he is basicall a violation away from being out of the NFL. They need him with Brown coming off injury, but I do not expect much out of him.
Do you agree?

Jeremy Green is a knob.
Ricky may or may not be a major contributor this year (although after seeing him so far in preseason, it is hard to imagine that he won’t be), but where does he come up with “fairly injury prone”? 2001, 2002, 2003, he started all 16 games each year, and carried a combined 1088 times. He was out 2004 and the first 4 games of 2005, and came back and played in all 12 remaining games he was eligible for. He was out in 2006, although he did break his arm that year. 2007, after being reinstated, he was injured in a Miami game and out for the remaining few games.
The guy might not be reliable in terms of his past record with pot, but since 2001 he sure as hell has been durable!
Just another case of an “expert” that makes statements because they sound good, in spite of those statements not fitting the facts.
