Rate My Trade - Keeper Edition
I made a huge trade yesterday that may determine the final standings of my league. I'll spare you with every category standing so you can rate the trade "in a bubble." Our league keeps up to 5 players each year accounting for the first 5 rounds of the draft.
Team 1 - In 1st place with 93 points trades away Ryan Braun
Team 2 - Tied for 3rd place with 74.5 points trades away Justin Morneau, Rich Harden, and Brad Lidge.

is this what your saying?
if u got harden, morneau and lidge for braun it should be vetoed
Vetoes are a horrible idea
If two teams agree to a trade without collusion, especially in a keeper league, vetoes are not the way to go.
Maybe
In a mixed league with limited keepers, getting Braun, an early 2nd round pick, is valuable. If the team has viable options on his bench to replace Harden and Lidge, then it is fine.
I admit it does look like a lot at 1st and 2nd glance.
Back Story
So here’s the back story. I’m Team 1. Team 2 offered me this deal. I saw the incredible value and took it. I’ll take a little hit with power but, hopefully make up for it in average and all pitching categories. I didn’t want to lose Braun since he was my top keeper but, I want to win this year.
Team 2 will now have Pujols, Utley, Miguel Cabrera, Braun, and Ortiz as keepers going into next year. This year he had a similarly insane keeper list but, one bad luck trade and a whole lot of injuries put him in 3rd place. He is trying to go the way of the Oakland A’s by buying and selling at the same time. I also know he’s trying to offer Ortiz and the rest of his parts to try and pry A-Rod from his owner. Considering the fact that his keeper list might be A-Rod, Braun, Pujols, Utley, and Cabrera next year, I better win now!
