Economy vs Fantasy Sports
Seeing how the economy sucks and people's jobs on the line,do you still have the same interest in fantasy sports?
Are you gong to be participating in 3 or more fantasy FB drafts coming up for a $100 bucks a pop or are you cutting back?
Do you really care what that guy behind his keyboard is saying, who knows pretty much less then you? Just wondering other people's thoughts on economy vs Fantasy participation.

Personally
I have become much more cognizant of the costs of traveling to various drafts. Gas is currently $4.499 a gallon. To make a 70-mile round trip is $25 of gas right now. If the league isn’t serious, and a lot of fantasy football isn’t due to non-keeper structures, then I can see myself bowing out of one or two pay leagues where the travel can be considered a lot.

70 miles=$25
SUV?? excellent consideration….but can you draft via phone or website? maybe propose a snake draft via web? or email for first few rounds? why not…..everyone knows who the top 12-24 picks will include.
I am lucky that one of my drafts is a work league and we usually hold the draft either at work, or on my way home. My other BIG league is about 20 miles roundtrip. BIG=$350-400….and I finished last in 2007…..uggghh…but WOULD reconsider if I am not in the money come 2009.
I am more of a baseball roto guy than football….Dodger blue and all. I used to bleed KC red….but Vermeil’s teams broke my heart…and I don’t have high expectations for the Chefs this year…although they could surprise….Charles and LJ in the backfield in the new Gailey offense could keep opposing D’s on their heels.
What say ye, Skeller??? (does he read these?)
