Martin at 3b tonight!

With Torre as his manager, this is not surprising. Peter Gammons quoted a scout recently, the scout saying that Martin is the best defensive 3bman in the NL....very interesting. Any FA catchers next year?
Laroche could become trade bait come July 31st....but to whom? Mets....no, Phils...no, ATL...no, Chi-....no....Milw....probably not....Ariz....NEVER,....AL team? Let's not say that too loud. Or, he could play LF with Kemp in CF and Ethier in LF......consider the possibilities....

I know the Dodgers scored 11 runs tonight. But 10 of the runs were scored after Bennett was removed for a pinch hitter. DeWitt pinch hit, stayed in the game and knocked in (and scored) two runs.

two errors on back to back plays....and did not throw home on a bases loaded grounder where the replay showed he had plenty of time to throw the runner out.

Converted from 3B to catcher in the minors, becomes an All-Star caliber catcher in the majors and gets converted back to 3B. Likely so soon?

I'd be surprised

if they do that, although they do have a decent hitting catcher prospect Lucas May in the minors at Jacksonville, I beleive.
Strike that, I just checked his stats...he's a very good hitting catcher....in 80 ABs in Jax, he has 5 hr, 18 rbi, 17 runs scored, . 325 AVG, 19/11 K/BB, .405 obp, and 1.054 OPS.
LAst year in High-A, he went 25-89-81-.256,.313 OBP, .456 SLG, .778 OPS.
Laroche better produce when given the opportunity this year.
