KG...and other thoughts

KG alluded to the fact that the Dodgers really screwed with Andy Laroche sending him to the minors, and thinks that he will be playing in a uniform other than Dodger Blue in the near future. I think if Ned makes this move, along with the FA signings of Schmidt, Pierre, Nomar and Andruw, he will be on a short leash, and will take the blame if LA does not make the playoffs.

TJ posted on his blog that Billingsley is maturing into the Dodgers ace with his efforts over the last few weeks. His ERA is now down under 4 and WHIP down to 1.4, while winning 4 of his last 5 outings. In 52.7 innings he has struck out 60 and walked 29…..his walks are still high, but I highly doubt he will disappoint fantasy owners this year. He had a slow start out of the gate this year, and has pitched very well of late. In his 4 wins, he has given up 3 runs in 27 innings.

Do you still think Arizona is going to run away with the West? They haven’t hit very well lately.

Does Willie Randolph go the way of Grady Little after he lost his clubhouse? And to top it off, he is making other ridiculous comments. I think he goes, but who comes in?
Is that sound you hear Eric Byrnes screaming back down to earth after his career year last year? Or is it Jose Reyes? or Prince Fielder?

Did Arizona hop aboard his bandwagon too quick, and hop off Carlos Quentin’s too early?

Let’s hope LA doesn’t make the same mistake with Laroche, although you can’t knock the performance of Blake Dewitt. The question remains, can he continue to play like this?

Who gets traded first? Brian Giles or Khalil Greene? Will SD still need Adrian Gonzalez if both are dealt? And what about all that money they paid Jake Peavy to pitch for an old, losing team. What will they get in return if they decide to trade him in a year or two?

What happens first: Milwaukee trades for a closer? or Yost gets fired?

How soon before Pittsburgh starts shopping Jason Bay and Xavier Nady?

What SP is Philadelphia going to target come the trade deadline? Better question, what do they offer? Shane Victorino possibly?

Or does Philly bring up AA pitcher Carlos Carrasco in June/July to see if he’s ready?

Ouch

“Is that sound you hear Eric Byrnes screaming back down to earth after his career year last year? Or is it Jose Reyes? or Prince Fielder?”

If it wasn’t for these 3 KEEPERS I would have had by far the best draft and be in first right now in my 8 team mixed.
