MLB Trade Rumors: Baltimore Orioles Open Spot For Matt Weiters

PrintPeter Schmuck of the Baltimore Sun reports the Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds are near completion of a trade that will send catcher Ramon Hernandez to the Queen City for Ryan Freel and a prospect. If true expect, the hype surrounding the game's best hitting prospect, catcher Matt Wieters, to reach 12-year-old-girls-at- a-Jonas-Brothers-concert level.
Given the lack of power at the catcher position, I expect Wieters to immediately become one of the first ten catchers drafted in 2009 mixed leagues.
