With Marion Barber II out for today's Dallas Cowboys/Pittsburgh Steelers match, rookie RB Tashard Choice gets the full-time nod. How will Choice do? I can't say it any better than Will Carroll relays from Bill Barnwell in Will's "Last Minute Med Check" at SI.com:
The fact is that a running back is affected equally by the qualities of a defense. Barber's expected rushing totals might drop more in raw yards, but he's going to be starting with a higher ceiling. Dropping 15 percent off of 100 yards is different than dropping the same percentage from 75 yards.
My guess is Choice will be good for 50-60 yards.
