The reason for this post is to ask one basic question: WTF were you swinging at Friday night? Were ANY of those pitches within a foot of the plate?

Lidge made Nomar look like my 6 year old daughter swinging at pitches I throw to her practicing softball. Come on, does anyone think Lidge is going to give Nomar a pitch to hit, knowing that Nomar has been a first pitch hitter his whole career? Did Nomar really think Lidge was going to throw a pitch over the plate in that sitation? Why does anyone swing at anything Lidge offers? It's always in the dirt, especially with > 1 strike in the count.
