Sosa -- Hall of Fame?

What does everybody think about Sosa's 600th home run? Is that a ticket to Cooperstown, even though we know he corked his bat and "know" that he was heavily 'roided for years? Ray Ratto thinks so just because of the magic 600 number, which seems pretty stupid to me. I'd never vote Sosa in, but I don't get a vote. But I do have a diary on a blog!

What do you guys think?

absolutely...he has to get in...one of five to hit 600 hr....just like I would vote for Rose. everyone looked the other way when he was hitting 60 hr every year....MLB included.

But they're not looking the other way now. Do previous mistakes mean they have to validate that with a HoF ticket? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Even if you take away the roids issue, he's a lifetime .273 hitter. No way that belongs in Cooperstown (and yes I'm looking at you too Rizzuto!)

Sosa

I say Sosa doesnt get in on the first try or 2nd. . .Why? Simply because of the cork bat. . .tantamount to getting caught with steroids. If that never happened he gets in, just as Bar-Roid will if he isnt caught . .
