2007 Faketeams.com Fantasy Baseball Registration

Yahoo has posted the 2007 Fantasy Baseball League signups.
An email has been sent with a league invite to the following addresses.

We currently have 9 of the 14 managers signed up.

IN THE EVENT THAT WE HAVE DELAYED SIGNUPS:
The sign up deadline will be 2 weeks. If someone from this list doesn't sign up within the 2 week deadline period, then i will post a diary of faketeams.com regarding the need for additional managers due to neglect of the request.

I know of a person that has been in my yahoo leagues before that is looking for a league. But he isn't much for posting on blogs. Anyway, I would imagine he would be interested in signing up here and I am sure he would need to make some regular posts as well. Not that he wouldn't do that, he just has not done it in the past. But being in a nice league where we have the yahoo site and here as well is certainly a big bonus and adds some nice prestige to the league overall.

One thing though, 14 teams in a mixed league is about as few as there should be. Any fewer than that and it turns into a game of who can grab the 2-start pitchers first, which is a real turn-off. I would propose that if we only get, say only 10 managers that we have an NL only or AL only league. Either one is fine with me. And I believe sportsline has the live stats as part of their free leagues as opposed to yahoo where you have to purchase stat tracker.

Heck, if we knew there were enough dedicated souls I would not be opposed to a keeper league with some minor league players or something like that...or just a keeper league without milb players.

Anyway, just a thought.

i have pretty good confidence that all 14 managers will sign up within the 2 week deadline, being only a weekend to sign up, 9 of 14 is actually pretty good for just 5 days...

...as far as the yahoo leagues are concerned, its basically keeping it as basic and mainstream and possible...most people do fantasy on yahoo and already have an account, plus its free...i know it does not have the features that us fantasy bloggers demand such as keepers, minor league drafts, and what not, but its available to everyone and something people are familiar with...

..as far as your friend, in the event we do not get a full 14 before the deadline proposed, he is No. 2 on the waiting list for managers behind eli81k@yahoo.com who is the first alternate manager..(he posted back on another diary thread)
